TRAMBAKLAL
V. VYAS
Mr.
Trambaklal V. Vyas was born on 13/12/1914 ie. Magshar vad agarayas
in Wadhwan to Vadilal and Rukshmani. He was the eldest amongst three
brothers and three sisters. his other brothers were Ashvin Kumar
and Pratap Rai (Bachu Bhai) his sisters were Jyotsna Ben (Jasumati),
Premila and Annapurna (Mrudula).
In
the year 1937 he was married to Rama Devi the daughter of Nanalal
Balashankar Bhatt of Limdi. She expired on 06/09/1996.
He
himself was MA. LLB. from University of Bombay. He was first appointed
as Judge in Vadya state in Kathyavad but, then he became the Divan
(Prime Minister) of Vadia.
In
1947 after independence of India all the princely states were integrated
and brought under the Indian Union and Kathyavad was named Saurashtra.
Trambaklal was given the duty of integrating state of Lathi (Poet
Kalapi's State), and as an administrator he took over the state
of Lathi and governed over it.
As
India was divided into India and Pakistan Hindu refuges migrated
from Sindh district in Pakistan and came to India, they came to
Saurashtra where refuge camps were setup at Bantva, Kutiana, Dhoraji
and Upleta. Trambaklal was given the charge of rehabilitation and
administration of these camps.
In
the year 1962 during the war with China and in 1965 during the war
with Pakistan he worked as Executive officer for war efforts. In
1971 he was appointed the Collector and District Magistrate in Junagadh.
In
1972 he retired from the Government job and from 1973-1976 he worked
as a Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Ayurved University Jamnagar.
Trambaklal
has a son Dr. Arunkumar and a daughter Shraddha. Arunkumar was married
to Jayshree who is M.A. gold medalist of M.S. university of Baroda,
daughter of Kundanlal H. Pandit of Morvi and have a daughter named
Stuti and son named Gaurav. Shraddha is married to Pulin Bhailalbhai
Dwivedi of Limdi.
Mr.
Trambaklal V. Vyas expired on 3/11/2013 on Diwali.
