KURUKSHETRA
DAY - 13
Duryodhan
summoned King Bhagadatt, the monarch of Prajayogasth (modern day
Assam, India). Bhagadatt had thousands of mammoth, gigantic elephants
in his stable. He was considered the strongest warrior on this planet
in elephant warfare. Bhagadatt attacked Arjun with his gigantic
elephant. It was a fierce battle in which Bhagadatt matched Arjun
astra for astra. On the other side of the Kurukshetra battlefield,
the remaining four Pandavs & their allies were finding it impossible
to break Dronacharya's Chakravyuh formation. As Arjun was busy fighting
with the Trigartdesh princes and the Prajayogasth monarch on the
other side of the battlefield, he could not be summoned to break
the Chakravyuh formation. The Chakravyuh formation could only be
broken by entering the formation and exiting the formation. Then
king Yudhisthir instructed Abhimanyu, one of Arjun's sons to break
the Chakravyuh formation, as apart from Arjun, Abhimanyu knew the
secret of entering the Chakravyuh formation, but did not know how
to exit it. Eventually he was trapped under the Chakravyu which
led to his death.
