| KURUKSHETRA DAY - 17 On the seventeenth day, Karn defeated Bhim and Yudhisthir in battle but spared their life. Later Karn resumed duelling with Arjun. During their duel Karn's chariot wheel got struck in the mud and Karn asked for a pause. But Krishna reminded Arjun about Karn's ruthlessness onto Abhimanyu while he was similarly left without chariot and weapons. Hearing his son's fate, Arjun shot his arrow and decapitated Karn. On the same day, Bhim swung his mace and shattered Dushashan's chariot. Bhim seized Dushasan and killed him, thus fulfilling his vow when Draupadi was humiliated.
