| REIKI HISTORY
The knowledge of REIKI would have remained lost if Dr. Mikao Usui had not rediscovered the key which led to the recovery of in 2500 year old Sanskrit Sutras at the end of 19th century.
Before his death Dr. Mikao Usui passed the knowledge of REIKI to his most devoted teacher Dr. Chujiro Hayashi who was a retired naval officer. Dr. Hayashi founded the first Reiki clinic in Tokyo.
Mrs. Hawayo Takata a young Japanese American woman became a student of Dr. Chujiro Hayashi and continued to spread Reiki and from year 1970 she started to train other masters and by 1980 till her death she had trained 21 masters.
In the year 1980 American International Reiki Association Inc. was founded and in 1981 Phyllis Lee Furomoto the grand daughter of Mrs. Hawayo Takata founded Reiki alliance and made a group of 21 Reiki Masters. |
