In Mahabharat Dhritrasht asked his charioteer Sanjay as to how the world looks like from space. Sanjay replied two peepal leaves (Ficus religiosa or sacred fig leaves) joined and a rabbit. When this was drawn as a map by Sage Ramanujacharya everyone laughed at his idea.
