The
Venus-Earth Synodic Cycle :
Venus,
the planet of perfect harmony and beauty, has the most Circular
orbit of all the known planets.
It
takes Venus 224.7 Earth days to orbit the Sun. From a time where
the Earth, Venus and the Sun line up in their orbits, it will
take the Earth 1.6 years to once again align with Venus and the
Sun. Venus will have orbited the Sun 2.6 times in this same amount
of time. The time from one alignment to another takes 583.9 Earth
days or 18-19 months. Astronomers define this as a synodic cycle.
The root for synod means "place of meaning".
Each
of the closest conjunctions between the Earth and Venus, every
1.6 Years, marks a point. When graphed these become the Pretty
Geometric pictures.
The synodic cycle (time between to closest contacts of of Earth
and Venus each 18-19 months. They happen at equidistant points
around the Zodiac, taking eight years for the conjunction to return
to approximately the same position where it started.
Astronomers
consider a new Earth-Venus synodic cycle begins on an inferior
conjunction, while the superior conjunction marks the mid-point
in the synodic cycle.
Inferior
conjunction
Venus is at its closest point to Earth, when it is directly between
the Earth and the Sun.
This is the beginning of a synodic cycle.
Superior conjunction
When the Venus is on the opposite side of the Sun from the Earth
is called the Superior conjunction.
This is the middle of a synodic cycle.
Graphed Designs :
Graphed,
the pattern of Venus's movement in the sky looks like a Rose,
with the Earth at the center, due to the retrograde periods making
loops in the sky. At each of the inferior conjunctions, when Venus
is closest to the Earth, Venus has moved 2/5 of a circle from
the previous inferior conjunction.
Over
a period of eight years, there are five such inferior conjunctions,
graphing on a circular diagram to create a perfect Pentagram.
This
was the origin of the Pentagram being a protective sign connected
with the harmony of Venus.
Venus
has the most circular orbit of all the planets. If on were to
divide Venus's synodic period by that of Earth's year it gives
f the golden ratio (or the 'Divine proportion', 1.681), to within
half a percent - as likewise does the Earth-year period divided
by that of the Venus-year, to within about one percent.

Planet patterns :
The Synodic Cycles of the Planets are the patterns of conjunction
or aspects between two planets. These create regular geometric
images that are quite amazing to look at.
